What To Expect During Your Visit

Please, don’t get dressed up! You’re already uncomfortable as it is. Find your most comfy sweatpants and your softest shirt. The “mom bun” is definitely part of the outfit, too!
The kids’ toys and other little things that clutter any home won’t bother at all. Please, just make sure wherever you want to be scanned is clean and clear for the visit.
Kids in the background or any other family members are welcome. Please make sure any children are unable to interfere with the technician and equipment.

The Scan!

We know this is no fun, but a full bladder is needed at the start of the gender scan so please drink a big glass of water 30 minutes to an hour before your scheduled appointment.
When the technician arrives, she will need to set up her in-home ultrasound equipment in a common living area (i.e., greeting room or living room). This will take 5 minutes at most.
The technician will then have you lay down where you are most comfortable (slight inclines are okay). Good examples are couches and reclining chairs.
Then the technician will have you correctly position your clothes for the scan and tuck in a towel so the ultrasound gel doesn’t get on your comfy sweats.
Some warm ultrasound gel will then be placed your tummy and the scan will start.
Scan time is usually around 15 minutes but can go longer if baby is playing hide-and-seek. 30 minutes is about the longest a scan will go.
Should baby be stubborn, the tech might have you get up and walk around or do some high knees and toe touches.
Once the scan is finished, the tech will take a few minutes to pack up her equipment. Once that is done, she will send you full resolution pictures of the best shots of baby to your desired location! (email or text message)

How far along need I need to be?

For our best chance to see gender clearly, 16 weeks is the earliest we can scan.

How long will the visit last?

Between setup, scanning, sending pictures, and cleanup the visit will be 20 to 30 minutes.

What happens if we can't find what we're looking for?

A return visit will be set up for the following week.

Are there things I need to do to get ready for the visit?

Yes! You are going to need a full bladder (sorry!). Please make sure the area you would like to be scanned in is a common living space and ready for the technician.

How can I pay for my visit?

The best way is with Venmo for now. (See bottom of website) Other payment methods are in the works and will be available soon. Promotional Pricing is still on!
